The Secutron MRM-800 is the surface backbox for Secutron 800 Series manual pull stations. Specifically, it provides the surface-mount option when no flush single-gang electrical box is available. As a result, technicians can add an 800 Series station to a finished wall without cutting it open.
Secutron lists the MRM-800 as the factory surface-mount accessory in its 800 Series catalog sheets. Therefore, it is the manufacturer-specified mounting solution — not a generic adapter. Secutron is a brand of Mircom Technologies / MGC Systems.
Secutron MRM-800 Compatibility
The MRM-800 supports Secutron 800 Series pull stations. For example, the addressable MRM-810MP, MRM-810MPU, MRM-802MP, and MRM-822MP all use it for surface mounting. In addition, Secutron lists it with the 800 Series conventional stations. However, it is not intended for the older 700 Series; those use the MRM-700 or MRM-700WP backboxes.
Mounting Options for 800 Series Stations
Secutron specifies two indoor mounting methods for 800 Series stations. First, flush mount on a standard single-gang electrical box. Alternatively, surface mount with this MRM-800 backbox. The 800 Series stations are rated for indoor use only.
