The Potter Electric Signal MX-MMC is the master microphone module for Potter HMX high-rise voice evacuation master panels. First, it provides live-voice paging input to the master panel. As a result, fire-floor commanders broadcast voice instructions across selected building zones. Furthermore, the MX-MMC integrates with the HMX-MP master panel’s switch control matrix.

The HMX-MP master panel uses an MX-MMC microphone control. In addition, the panel routes voice through a dual-channel Digital Message Repeater (DMR). Specifically, the master panel hosts 16, 48, 64, or 80 switch control points depending on the variant. Therefore, the MX-MMC is the live-voice front end for any of these master panel sizes.
Furthermore, HMX panels operate alongside any compatible fire alarm control panel. As a result, the MX-MMC participates in NFPA 72 emergency voice/alarm communications service when installed in a listed system.
