The Notifier ACPS-610 is an addressable charger and power supply for Notifier intelligent fire alarm systems. It both supplies 24VDC system power and charges backup batteries.
What the Notifier ACPS-610 Does
First, the unit provides regulated 24VDC output for notification appliance circuits and auxiliary panel loads. Then, it manages charging of the connected sealed-lead-acid backup batteries. In addition, it reports its status and trouble conditions back to the host panel over the SLC.
As a result, the panel sees the ACPS-610 as a supervised device rather than a passive power source. Therefore, troubles like AC loss, battery fault, or low-voltage conditions surface as identified events at the panel.
