Notifier FDM-1 FlashScan Dual Monitor Module
The Notifier FDM-1 is a dual-input addressable monitor module for FlashScan SLC systems. First, it supervises two independent Class B (Style B) dry-contact initiating device circuits. In addition, the FDM-1 occupies two consecutive SLC addresses — one per input.
As a result, system designers can monitor two independent points at one module location. Therefore, the FDM-1 is well suited to projects with tight SLC address budgets and clustered initiating devices.
Typical Applications for the Notifier FDM-1
- Sprinkler waterflow switches.
- Sprinkler valve tamper switches.
- Duct detector auxiliary contacts.
- Door position switches.
- Other normally-open supervisory or initiating contacts.
Compatibility and Installation
- FlashScan SLC loop, addresses 01–159 (uses two consecutive addresses).
- Powered directly from the SLC — no separate 24 V supply required.
- Compatible panels: NFS-320, NFS2-640, NFS2-3030, AFP-200, AFP-300, AFP-400, AFP-1010.
- Fits a standard 4″ square electrical box.
In short, the FDM-1 doubles the supervised-input capacity at a single mounting location. Therefore, contractors use it across new construction and retrofit projects on FlashScan-equipped panels.
