The Notifier NP-200 is an intelligent, addressable photoelectric smoke detector. It is built for Notifier FireWarden Series fire alarm control panels. First, its plug-in design drops into a separate B300-6 base. As a result, installation and service stay simple.
The NP-200 is a direct replacement for the older NP-100. Furthermore, it adds a sleeker low-profile housing. It also uses an enhanced optical sensing chamber. Therefore, it detects smoke from a wide range of fire sources.
Notifier NP-200 detection and addressing
Each NP-200 connects to the two-wire signaling line circuit (SLC). It communicates using the FlashScan protocol. In addition, you set the device address with rotary decimal switches. As a result, the panel reports each detector’s exact location.
The detector ships at a 1.5% nominal sensitivity preset. Specifically, the panel sets the alarm threshold. Two LEDs light to give a local, visible indication. Also, a built-in magnet test switch allows quick functional checks.
Verified specifications
- Type: intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector (FlashScan)
- Voltage range: 15 to 32 VDC peak
- Standby current: 200 µA at 24 VDC
- Maximum current: 4.5 mA at 24 VDC
- Sensitivity: 0.5% to 4.0% per foot obscuration (UL)
- Operating temperature: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C)
- Relative humidity: 10% to 93% non-condensing
- Detector height 2.0″; B300-6 base diameter 6.1″
- Listings: UL/ULC S1115, FM Approved, CSFM 7272-0028:0503
