Farenhyt|Honeywell (OSI-RI-FH) Addressable reflective imaging beam smoke detector for addressable farenhyt panels

The Farenhyt OSI-RI-FH is an addressable beam smoke detector. The unit uses a reflective imaging design.

First, the detector projects an infrared beam across an open space toward a passive reflector. Then, smoke entering the beam path reduces signal strength at the reflector return. As a result, the device alarms based on light obscuration rather than spot-style chamber sampling.

The reflective design uses one head plus a reflector. Therefore, only one electrical connection is needed at the head end, which simplifies long-path installs.
