The Potter Electric Signal PFC-5008 is a microprocessor-based 8-zone conventional fire alarm control panel. First, the panel supports small to medium commercial and institutional buildings. Then, integrators configure it via DIP switches rather than software. As a result, install and commissioning go quickly.

The panel ships with 8 Class B (Style B) initiating circuits. Alternatively, integrators can configure them as 4 Class A (Style D) circuits. In addition, predefined zones support waterflow or latching / non-latching supervisory inputs. Furthermore, selectable alarm verification is available on initiating circuits.
For audible notification, the PFC-5008 includes 4 Class A/B (Style Z/Y) indicating circuits. Each NAC is rated 1.7 amps max. Specifically, audibles can be set to Steady, Temporal Code, California Code, or March Time output. Also, the panel supports auto signal silence.
Power and battery
The PFC-5008 includes a 5 amp power supply. Furthermore, it powers a 4-wire resettable regulated smoke power output at 24 VDC, 100 mA max. The cabinet supports four batteries from 4 to 24 AH. Therefore, the panel sizes to most small-system standby requirements.
Communication and accessories
The PFC-5008 ships with a UDACT-9100 digital communicator factory installed. As a result, central station reporting is included out of the box. In addition, a built-in RS-485 interface supports up to three RA8F multiplexed remote annunciators.
Optionally, integrators can add an ARM-4 quad relay module. Specifically, that adds 4 configurable auxiliary relays. Also, an ACT-2 audio coupler is available for ACT-2 phone reporting.
