The Potter PS40-2 is a high/low supervisory pressure switch. First, it monitors pressure in automatic fire sprinkler systems. Then it alerts the panel when pressure moves outside the set range. As a result, technicians respond before the system is compromised.
Potter PS40-2 pressure switch features
This model carries two independent switch actuations. Specifically, that DPDT arrangement covers both a low and a high trip point. In addition, the switch ships factory set for 40 PSI normal pressure. Therefore, the low contact trips near 30 PSI and the high near 50 PSI.
The contacts handle robust signaling loads. For example, they are rated up to 10A at 125/250VAC. Also, the rugged build suits demanding mechanical rooms.
Typical applications
Installers apply the PS40-2 on dry-pipe and pre-action systems. Furthermore, it supervises air or nitrogen supplies and pressure tanks. Finally, it delivers reliable, code-minded pressure supervision.
