The POTTER SL-701 KIT is a complete carbon-monoxide duct detection bundle for commercial HVAC systems. Specifically, this Apollo America / Air Products kit ships with the SL-701 duct CO detector head. Furthermore, the kit adds FAST-Tube sampling tubes and an MSR-50/CO remote accessory. Also, the POTTER SL-701 KIT gives early warning of CO drift through supply or return ducts.
POTTER SL-701 KIT bundle contents
The bundle includes the SL-701 duct-mounted CO detector head. In addition, it ships with FAST-Tube sampling tubes that insert across the duct cross-section. Also, the kit includes the MSR-50/CO remote indicator with test and reset push-buttons. Therefore, the installer has every key piece needed for a single duct location in one box.
How the SL-701 senses carbon monoxide
The detector samples airflow through the duct using the FAST-Tube intake. Then the snap-in CO sensor measures gas concentration in the sample stream. As a result, occupants get warning before CO builds up in occupied spaces. Furthermore, the sensor module is field-replaceable when it reaches end of service life. In addition, the detector runs a self-test every 24 hours to confirm continuous protection.
Remote indication and reset
The included MSR-50/CO remote accessory provides private-mode audible and visual alarm at a manned location. Also, the unit carries test and reset push-buttons for routine inspection. Therefore, the building staff can confirm operation without removing the detector from the duct.
