The Protectowire PHSC-280-EPC is a standard digital linear heat detector. It carries a fixed alarm temperature of 280°F (138°C). Furthermore, its Type EPC jacket suits interior commercial and industrial areas.
This detector delivers line-type coverage with point sensitivity. First, two steel conductors carry heat-sensitive polymer insulation. Then, spring pressure twists them together inside the jacket. As a result, the conductors short at the first point reaching the rated temperature.
Type EPC Vinyl Jacket
The EPC jacket is a durable, flame-retardant PVC vinyl. Specifically, it offers low moisture absorption and good chemical resistance. In addition, it stays flexible at low temperatures. Therefore, it fits interior commercial and industrial spaces.
