The RSG SP-2-PS is the double-pole SP Series pull station with a pre-signal key contact. Specifically, the PS suffix adds a key-operated supervisory contact for two-stage panels. Furthermore, the SP-2 base uses a normally-open DPST toggle switch.
First, the user pulls the lever to send a pre-signal. Then, on confirmation, a key-held second action releases the general alarm. As a result, staff can investigate before mass evacuation.
RSG SP-2-PS Option Detail
The PS (pre-signal) configuration suits healthcare, hospitality, and high-rise buildings with managed evacuation. However, pre-signal requires panel programming for two-stage operation. Therefore, confirm the fire alarm control panel supports a pre-signal mode before specifying this option.
