The Potter Electric Signal SCA-10070 is a single-channel 100W audio amplifier. Specifically, it pairs with the Potter IPA-4000V Integrated Voice Evacuation panel. First, the SCA-10070 receives audio from the IPA-4000V over its V-Link audio bus. Then, it amplifies and distributes the signal across up to eight speaker outputs. As a result, the SCA-10070 expands voice evacuation coverage in commercial, institutional, and high-rise applications.

The SCA-10070 provides eight (8) Class B notification outputs. Alternatively, integrators configure the amplifier for eight (8) Class A outputs. Specifically, output voltage is selectable between 25 VRMS and 70 VRMS. In addition, a stacker terminal block accommodates the speaker-circuit wiring.

System architecture

Up to 31 SCA/DCA amplifiers can be linked to a single IPA-4000V panel. Furthermore, that scales the system to as many as 248 speaker outputs. Specifically, the SCA-10070 communicates with the IPA-4000V over an RS-485 P-Link bus. In addition, the SCA-10070 carries one V-Link audio input from the IPA-4000V.

Maximum P-Link cable run is 6,500 feet. Likewise, maximum V-Link audio run is 6,500 feet. Therefore, designers reach distant speaker zones without dedicated home-run audio cabling.
