Siemens PAD-3-MB Notification Appliance Extender with Metal Backbox

The Siemens PAD-3-MB is the most common way the PAD-3 notification appliance extender is deployed in the field. The "MB" suffix denotes the included metal backbox, making the PAD-3-MB a complete, self-contained unit ready for wall or surface mounting without any additional enclosure hardware.

The PAD-3-MB expands the notification appliance circuit (NAC) output capacity of Siemens fire alarm control panels, allowing installers to drive additional horns, strobes, and horn/strobe combination devices. This is the preferred solution for new installations and system expansions where a dedicated, code-compliant enclosure is required.

Compatible with Siemens MXL, FireFinder, Sinteso, and Cerberus platform panels, the PAD-3-MB is a genuine Siemens component that meets UL listing requirements for fire alarm notification. For board-only applications where a separate enclosure is already available, see the PAD-3 (board only).
