The Silent Knight EVS-100W is an intelligent distributed audio amplifier for the Emergency Voice System. First, it delivers up to 100 watts at 25 Vrms or 70.7 Vrms. As a result, it powers speaker notification across large commercial buildings.
Silent Knight EVS-100W operating modes
The amplifier supports three modes. Specifically, it runs as 50 watts with 50-watt backup, as a 100-watt single channel, or as 100 watts with 50-watt backup using the EVS-100WBU. In addition, a built-in backup-amplifier test verifies readiness automatically.
Speaker circuits and power
The EVS-100W provides supervised speaker circuits with its own power supply and battery backup. Also, the bandwidth runs 400 Hz to 4 kHz. Furthermore, it produces the 520 Hz low-frequency tone that newer NFPA 72 editions require for sleeping areas.
Installation and listings
The amplifier connects to the EVS panel with a six-wire run. Therefore, you can mount it up to 6,000 feet from the control panel. It works with the 5820XL-EVS and 6820EVS. Finally, it is listed to UL 864 and UL 2572.
