The Simplex 4006-9805 is a city circuit card with hardware disconnect switches. It connects a 4006 fire alarm control panel to municipal or remote-station receiving units.
First, the card mounts to the main system board (MSB) via a ribbon harness. Then it provides two output circuits. Circuit 1 reports alarm or alarm/trouble events to a Remote Station (reverse polarity). In addition, Circuit 2 can be configured for trouble events or supervisory events. As a result, technicians get separate signaling paths from one card.
The 4006-9805 and 4006-9806 cards are functionally identical. However, only the 4006-9805 adds dedicated hardware disconnect switches on each circuit. Therefore, service techs can isolate either output without unwiring the card.
