The Simplex 4098-9605 is a TrueAlarm analog addressable photoelectric smoke sensor designed for special-application locations where a reduced nominal sensitivity of 3.5%/ft is required. The 4098-9605 uses a pulsed infrared LED light source and silicon photodiode receiver, with analog smoke measurements digitally communicated to the host fire alarm control panel via IDNet or MAPNET II two-wire communications. The sensor provides 360° smoke entry and is compatible with standard 2-wire and 4-wire Simplex TrueAlarm bases. Sensitivity monitoring at the control panel satisfies NFPA 72 requirements; the panel performs automatic environmental compensation and peak value logging for each 4098-9605 individually.
