The Simplex 4099-9006 is an addressable dual-action manual pull station. It uses the familiar Simplex pull-station housing with an integral addressable communication module (IAM).
Dual action means two deliberate motions are required. First, push the spring-loaded interference plate marked PUSH. Then, pull the handle down firmly. As a result, the station breaks an internal plastic rod and signals alarm. This two-step design helps deter accidental and vandal-triggered alarms.
The integral IAM constantly reports station status to the fire alarm control panel. Communications run over IDNet or MAPNET II wiring. In addition, an LED on the front flashes during normal communications. The LED goes steady on when the station is activated.
