The Simplex 4098-9733 is an analog addressable heat sensor designed for use on Simplex TrueAlarm fire alarm systems. Unlike rate-of-rise heat detectors, the 4098-9733 reports continuous analog temperature values to the Simplex fire alarm control panel, allowing the panel to apply intelligent alarm thresholds and pre-alarm levels based on actual ambient temperature trends.
Heat detectors are the preferred choice for areas where smoke detectors would generate frequent false alarms — commercial kitchens, mechanical rooms, dusty warehouses, garages, and laundry facilities. The 4098-9733 provides reliable thermal detection in these challenging environments while communicating over the Simplex TrueAlarm analog addressable loop.
