The Simplex 4906-9127 is a wall-mount horn/strobe in a red housing. It belongs to the TrueAlert multi-candela non-addressable notification line. The unit pairs a 24 VDC electronic horn with a high-output xenon strobe.

The 4906-9127 runs on Simplex SmartSync two-wire NAC operation. Therefore, the horn and the strobe share one circuit. However, the panel can silence the horn while the strobe stays flashing. Specifically, the horn is “on-until-silenced” and the strobe is “on-until-reset”.
In addition, strobes on the same SmartSync circuit flash in unison at 1 Hz. As a result, the appliance meets NFPA 72 synchronization requirements within a common field of view.
