The Simplex 4098-9794 is a TrueAlarm analog sensor sounder base. It combines a sensor mounting base with an integrated piezoelectric sounder. The host fire alarm control panel commands both functions over a single addressable loop.
First, the base accepts any compatible TrueAlarm sensor head. Then, on alarm or coded command, the panel triggers the on-board sounder. As a result, you get a local audible alert right at the detector — without a separate notification appliance nearby. Therefore, the 4098-9794 is well suited to hotel corridors, healthcare, and residential settings.
Why Choose the Simplex 4098-9794
This sounder base delivers loud output with very low current draw. Specifically, the piezoelectric element produces 88 dBA minimum at 10 ft while drawing only 20 mA at 24 VDC. In addition, the sound louvers exit both front and side for full coverage.
Also, the base supports synchronized coding. Sounder output can be powered from a steady 24 VDC source. Alternatively, it can be NAC-powered and synced to Temporal or March Time patterns from the NAC.
