The DSC SS-102 is a seismic shock sensor for intrusion detection. It senses the vibration of a physical break-in attempt.
First, the sensor analyzes structural vibration. Then it separates minor disturbances from major attacks. As a result, it can signal an alarm before an intruder actually breaches the protected surface. This makes it well suited to vaults, safes, ATMs, and secure walls.
DSC SS-102 Features
A bi-colored LED shows minor versus major attack activity at a glance. In addition, the unit counts minor pulses up to a preset limit while it watches for major attacks. Therefore it resists nuisance trips while still catching real attempts.
The electronics module is moisture resistant and fully tamper protected. Also, the SS-102 has high immunity to low-frequency false alarms and radio interference. It is compatible with control panels of all makes.
Adjustment and Specifications
Installers set sensitivity through a dual-stage linear control. Specifically, a potentiometer and DIP switch 5 adjust the response. Then DIP switches 1 through 3 select a 2, 4, or 6 pulse count.
