The System Sensor B200S-LF-WH is a white low-frequency sounder base for addressable fire alarm systems. It produces a 520 Hz tone that meets NFPA 72 requirements for sleeping areas. As a result, it wakes occupants more reliably than standard high-frequency signals.
How the B200S-LF-WH Sounds the Alarm
The base generates a fundamental 520 Hz square-wave tone, within plus or minus 10%. Low-frequency audio near 520 Hz wakes sleeping individuals more effectively. The sounder delivers more than 85 dBA, measured at 10 feet at 24 volts. It also draws up to 140 mA in alarm.
Selectable Tone Patterns
The B200S-LF-WH supports Continuous, ANSI Temporal 3, and March Time patterns. Therefore, it adapts to different signaling needs. In addition, the base “listens in” to detector communication. So it operates without consuming a separate addressable point.
Installation
A separate mounting plate installs on common junction-box sizes. This approach avoids unsightly surface boxes. Furthermore, it lets installers pre-wire all connections first. As a result, final detector installation goes faster. The base weighs about 0.60 lb.
