The System Sensor HGRKL is an L-Series outdoor compact wall horn in red. It is an audible-only appliance, so there is no strobe on this model. As a result, it delivers fire alarm sound in outdoor and wet locations.
Why the System Sensor HGRKL Works Outdoors
First, the HGRKL is weatherproof to NEMA 4X and IP56 as a standalone device. Therefore, it needs no special back box or backplate for outdoor use. In addition, it operates across a wide temperature range.
L-Series horns also use a plug-in design with minimal back-box intrusion. As a result, installation stays fast and helps prevent ground faults. Also, an onboard shorting spring lets installers verify wiring continuity before mounting.
