The System Sensor SSM24-6 is a 6-inch fire alarm bell for regulated 24 VDC circuits. Unlike a strobe, it is a purely audible appliance. Specifically, a motor-driven mechanism strikes the 6-inch gong with an underdome striker. As a result, it delivers the loud, classic bell tone many specifications still require.

The SSM24-6 is approved for indoor and outdoor use. Indoors, it mounts to a standard 4-inch square electrical box. However, outdoor surface installs require the WBB weatherproof back box. The bell ships pre-wired with two sets of leads for in-and-out wiring. As a result, supervised circuit hookups stay clean and fast.
Listings include UL (S4011), CSFM 7135-1653:0125, FM, and MEA. Furthermore, the polarized design supports supervision on fire alarm signaling circuits.
