The System Sensor WAV-WL is a white, wall-mount SWIFT wireless AV base. Importantly, it is a notification base, not a smoke detector. Furthermore, it powers a compatible System Sensor L-Series AV notification appliance. As a result, it drives audible and visual signaling without notification wiring.
System Sensor WAV-WL wireless AV base operation
First, the base communicates wirelessly with the fire alarm control panel. Then it triggers the attached appliance during an alarm. In addition, two sets of four batteries supply power. Specifically, one set powers the wireless link, and the other powers the audio and visual signal.
Moreover, the wireless battery life is UL listed for at least two years. Therefore, the base supports reliable long-term operation.

The WAV-WL is designed to comply with UL 864, 9th and 10th editions. In addition, it meets NFPA 72 and CAN/ULC requirements. As a result, it fits SWIFT wireless fire notification systems.
