The Hochiki HPS-CP is a conventional break-glass call point. First, the user breaks a 2.5″ x 2.5″ Factrolite glass plate to trip the station. As a result, the actuating plunger-type switch closes a normally open contact and initiates the alarm.
Furthermore, the design discourages the false-alarm problem common in schools and public assembly spaces. Therefore, it is a good fit for places where simple, deliberate activation matters.
