The Potter Electric Signal PTS-C is a supervisory switch used in fire alarm and sprinkler-monitoring circuits. Specifically, it provides a contact-closure signal to a fire alarm control panel when a monitored condition changes. As a result, the FACP can report a supervisory event for valve tamper, low pressure, or similar status.
How the Potter Electric Signal PTS-C is used
First, an installer wires the switch to a supervisory input zone or module. Then, the switch closes on actuation of the monitored device. In addition, the switch supports either normally-open or normally-closed circuit configurations. Therefore, it can be applied across many sprinkler and fire-monitoring use cases.
Field notes
- Form factor: compact contact-closure switch, surface or flush mount
- Signal type: dry-contact supervisory output to FACP zone or monitor module
- Typical applications: valve tamper, pressure supervision, equipment-status monitoring
For specific contact ratings, mounting holes, and panel-zone wiring, refer to the current Potter PTS-C installation sheet. However, our team can also confirm a part fit for your existing panel and circuit configuration.
