The Fire-Lite ROME is a relay option module enclosure for compatible Fire-Lite FACPs. It ships with one ANN-RLY module and one ANN-MBRLY mounting bracket pre-installed. As a result, installers gain ten programmable Form-C relays in a single drop-in cabinet. First, the ROME connects to the host panel over the ANN-Bus. Then it provides remote relay outputs for HVAC shutdown, elevator recall, door release, and similar interface needs.
Fire-Lite ROME relay functions
Each of the ten Form-C relays can be programmed individually. Specifically, the ANN-RLY supports Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory, AC Loss, Waterflow Delay, Input Zones, and Silenceable Alarm. In addition, the module can mount inside the FACP chassis or in the battery area. However, the ROME enclosure provides a self-contained alternative for remote installations. Therefore, technicians can locate relay outputs where the controlled equipment lives.
Wiring and addressing
The ANN-Bus uses a two-wire serial format for communication. Also, two more conductors deliver 24VDC power. Therefore, a single four-conductor unshielded cable handles both. Up to eight ANN-Bus devices may connect to one FACP. Each device requires a unique address ID. Furthermore, power may come from the host FACP or a remote 24VDC supply.
