The Protectowire PHSC-190-XCR is a standard digital linear heat detector. It carries a fixed alarm temperature of 190°F (88°C). Furthermore, its Type XCR jacket suits harsh, corrosive areas.
This detector delivers line-type coverage with point sensitivity. First, two steel conductors carry heat-sensitive polymer insulation. Then, spring pressure twists them together inside the jacket. As a result, the conductors short at the first point reaching the rated temperature.
Type XCR Fluoropolymer Jacket
The XCR jacket is a high-performance fluoropolymer. Specifically, it resists chemicals, abrasion, and weather. In addition, it serves both interior and exterior installs. Therefore, Protectowire rates it for corrosive environments.
