The Simplex 4098-9798 is an SSD (Smart Sensor Device) sounder base with an integrated carbon monoxide (CO) detection module for IDNet addressable fire alarm systems. The 4098-9798 base mounts standard TrueAlarm smoke sensors and provides audible sounder output while simultaneously monitoring for CO. This base is compatible with the Simplex 4100ES, 4010ES, and 4100U panels at IDNet software revision 12.05 or higher. Note: these panels and CO sensor models have now been superseded by 10-year-life CO sensors in current production. The 4098-9798 weighs 0.25 lbs and has overall dimensions of 5 × 5 × 1 in, compatible with standard 4″ electrical box mounting.
