The Silent Knight 006860 is an LCD remote annunciator for Honeywell Silent Knight fire alarm control panels. It lets staff view system status from anywhere on the system. Therefore, technicians can check alarms, supervisories, and troubles without standing at the panel.
Silent Knight 006860 display and operation
First, the 006860 features a large 160-character display, arranged as four lines of 40 characters. In addition, four programmable function keys speed up common tasks. Five status LEDs also indicate Alarm, Supervisory, Trouble, Silence, and AC Power conditions. Furthermore, an onboard piezo sounder audibly signals alarms, troubles, and supervisories. As a result, operators can start or end a fire drill with a single key press.
Mounting and compatibility
The annunciator communicates with the panel over an RS-485 SBUS connection. Notably, wiring can run up to 6,000 feet from the control panel. The unit ships in a locked, key-controlled cabinet for secure access. Moreover, it mounts either flush or on the surface, and the RA-100TR trim ring supports surface mounts. The 006860 works with the Silent Knight 6820, 6820EVS, 6808, and 6700 panels.
