The Edwards 276B-RSB is a red surface-mount back box for the 276B, 277B, 278B, and 279B series manual pull stations. First, the back box mounts to the wall surface. Then, the chosen Lexan pull station mounts to the front of the box. As a result, the assembly avoids cutting into the wall when semi-flush mounting is not practical.
Specifically, the “RSB” suffix designates the Red Surface Box. Therefore, the housing color matches the standard red-faced 276B/277B/278B/279B pull stations for a consistent finished appearance. In addition, the box ships separately so it can be ordered with new stations or as a retrofit.
Edwards 276B-RSB application
Use the 276B-RSB whenever a 276B / 277B / 278B / 279B pull station needs surface mounting on an exterior wall, masonry wall, or any surface where a semi-flush 4-inch square box is impractical. Furthermore, the box pairs with single-action stations (276B, 277B) and double-action stations (278B, 279B) alike. Also, the same back box supports both screw-terminal and wire-lead pull-station variants.
