The Edwards 301-CT-06K is a 300 Series GuardSwitch non-contact magnetic reed switch from the Edwards Signaling industrial machine-guarding line. First, this is an industrial position and interlock switch — not a fire alarm device. As a result, NFPA 72 and the UL fire-alarm standards do not apply to this part.
The 301 prefix designates left-side cable exit. In addition, the matching right-side cable-exit version is the 303-CT-06K. Furthermore, the “CT” infix indicates the cylindrical T-style actuator family, and “06K” decodes as a 6-foot SJTOW 18/2 jacketed lead.

Application — industrial, not fire alarm
The 300 Series GuardSwitch line is designed for machine guarding interlocks, door position sensing, and access monitoring on industrial equipment. Therefore, typical hosts include safety guards on conveyors, presses, and gates. However, this part is NOT designed or listed for fire alarm initiating device circuits, smoke detector bases, or door-holder applications on EST3 or other fire alarm control panels.
Required matching magnet
This base SKU may ship without the magnet actuator. Therefore, confirm whether the install requires ordering the matching CT-series magnet separately.
