Installation Notes
First, the foil shield with drain wire suppresses electromagnetic interference on long signal runs. Then, the CMP/CL3P/FPLP plenum rating allows installation in air-handling spaces per NEC 300.22(C). However, the drain wire must be grounded at one end only. As a result, installers avoid ground loops on shielded signal pairs.
