The Altronix AL175UL is a UL Listed switching power supply and charger for access control systems. Specifically, it provides two PTC-protected 12VDC or 24VDC outputs from a single 115VAC input.
First, the AL175UL converts mains into a selectable 12VDC or 24VDC bus. Then, one output drives an electric lock with selectable Fail-Safe or Fail-Secure switching during fire-alarm trigger. In addition, the second auxiliary output is unswitched and powers readers, controllers, or other accessory devices. As a result, a single AL175UL handles both lock control and auxiliary power in compact installations.

Important Application Note — Not a Fire-Alarm Power Supply
The AL175UL is positioned for access control with optional fail-safe lock release on fire-alarm trigger. However, the supply itself is not UL 864 listed and is not a fire-alarm power source. Therefore, do not install the AL175UL inside a UL 864 fire alarm control unit. Alternatively, ask about Altronix’s UL 864 9th-edition product family for fire-alarm DC power needs.
