The Siemens AS-75-R-WP is a weatherproof horn/strobe for fire alarm notification. It combines an audible horn with a 75-candela strobe. Specifically, it signals occupants by both sound and flashing light.
Siemens AS-75-R-WP performance
First, the strobe uses a Xenon flash tube behind a rugged Lexan lens. As a result, it produces a steady one-flash-per-second output at 75 candela. In addition, the horn offers at least three field-selectable dBA levels.
The horn also runs steady or in a temporal (Code 3) pattern. Therefore, installers can match the local signaling requirement. Furthermore, the red housing carries a weatherproof rating for damp and outdoor-protected locations.
Compatibility and listings
This appliance connects to a standard notification appliance circuit. It works with Siemens 50-, 252-, and 504-point fire alarm control panels. Moreover, it is UL Listed to Standards 464 and 1971, plus ULC, CSFM, and FM approved. It also meets ADA requirements. The factory part number is 500-636016.
