The Mircom BB-700WP is a red weatherproof surface-mount backbox for Mircom MS-700 series manual pull stations. First, the enclosure measures 5″H × 3.6″W × 2.2″D. Then a gasket adds the moisture seal versus the standard BB-700. As a result, it serves exterior or wash-down locations on a fire-alarm system.
Mircom BB-700WP construction
The housing is steel with a red powder-coat finish. In addition, the unit weighs about 0.50 lb. Specifically, the extra depth versus the BB-700 accommodates the weatherproof seal hardware. Therefore, the same MS-700U pull station fits inside.
Where it goes
Use the BB-700WP outside loading docks, parking decks, and exterior stair landings. Also, use it in mechanical rooms and other wash-down areas. However, the backbox carries no UL signaling listing of its own. Furthermore, it does not include the pull station.
