The Macurco CO2 5% VOL is a high-span calibration gas cylinder for fixed CO2 detectors. Specifically, it ships as a 17-liter steel canister at 5% v/v (50,000 ppm) CO2 in air balance. Therefore, technicians use it for the high-end span point during sensor calibration.

First, the cylinder serves the full-scale span of Macurco’s 0–5% CO2 detectors. Then, it pairs with the same fixed-flow regulator and tubing used for the 400 ppm low cylinder. As a result, a complete two-point calibration uses one cylinder of each grade.

Industrial CO2 monitors typically span 0–5% by volume. Therefore, this cylinder anchors the top-of-scale span check. In addition, it suits beverage, refrigeration, and CO2-enrichment greenhouse environments where high-concentration alarm thresholds apply.
