Edwards (CS405-8A-T) Strobe w/tb est..110 candela

The Edwards CS405-8A-T is a 110 cd electronic strobe with terminal block. Specifically, it is a self-synchronizing visual notification appliance. As a result, multiple CS405-8A-T strobes flash in unison on a 2-wire signaling circuit without a separate sync module.

The “T” designation in the model number indicates terminal block wiring. Therefore field connections do not require pigtail leads. Furthermore, electrical supervision requires that the wire run be broken at each terminal.

The 110 cd model is UL 1971 listed at 110 cd wall and 60 cd ceiling. In addition, on-axis output is rated 120 cd per UL 1638. Specifically, the strobe flashes at 1 fps when synchronized. Also, sync is maintained at less than 200 ms for 60 hours of supervision plus 30 minutes in alarm.

Application Notes

The 8A model may be used in sleeping areas. Specifically, when used in sleeping areas the strobe must be wall-mounted at least 24 in (601 mm) from the ceiling. Also, it must be no more than 16 ft (4.88 m) from the pillow. Furthermore, separately installed sync control modules are not required.
