First, install the DTK-120HWLOK across a 20A dedicated branch circuit feeding a fire alarm control panel. Then, the parallel design diverts transient surges to ground without interrupting the circuit. As a result, the DTK-120HWLOK preserves continuous AC power to the FACP.

The included lockout kit meets NFPA 72 2022 Section 10.6.5.4 requirements. Furthermore, it prevents accidental disconnect of the surge protector serving the fire alarm branch circuit. Therefore, installers comply with code without adding a separate locking enclosure.
