Ditek (DTK-2MHLP24B) 24v, 2 pair, hybrid field replaceable suppression module

The Ditek DTK-2MHLP24B is a 24 V hybrid, field-replaceable surge suppression module. It protects two signal pairs on low-voltage data, voice, and signaling circuits. Furthermore, it is sold as the module only. As a result, a separate Ditek Snap-Track base is required for mounting.

First, the DTK-2MHLP24B uses a multi-stage hybrid SAD + GDT topology. Therefore, it clamps fast transients at the gas-discharge front end and the SAD back end together. In addition, when the module is compromised, it fails by shorting to ground for clear field diagnosis.

Also, the module installs with a card-edge connector on the matching base. As a result, replacement is fast and hot-swappable without re-terminating field wiring. Furthermore, multiple modules can share a common ground when mounted on a multi-position base. Specifically, that scales protection up to 10 pairs on a DTK-5MB base.

Alternatively, order the DTK-2MHLP24BWB for a pre-paired module + hardwired base. Also, match the module voltage to the loop voltage. Specifically, do not apply a 24 V module to a 12 V or 48 V loop.
