The Secutron DUCT-RG is a rubber gasket pack for MIX-4010-DUCT duct smoke detector installations. Each pack contains 10 gaskets. The gasket seals the sampling-tube exit hole on wide ducts. As a result, the detector’s air sampling path stays leak-free.
Where the Secutron DUCT-RG Is Used
On ducts wider than 2 feet (0.6 m), the sampling tube must span the full duct. Therefore, installers drill a 2-inch (51 mm) hole in the duct wall opposite the detector. The DUCT-RG gasket fits that hole and seals around the protruding tube end. Per the installation manual, the tube should protrude no more than 1-3/16 inches (30 mm).
Ordering Notes
One gasket is already included with the DUCT-ST5 sampling tube. A gasket also ships with the DUCT-MB mounting bracket. However, this 10-pack covers spares, multi-detector projects, and replacement needs. Keep a few on the truck — a torn gasket compromises the sampling seal.
