EDWARDS (4-FT) Fixed Telephone Handset, Four-State Tele

The Edwards 4-FT is the master firefighter telephone module for EST4 remote annunciators. Specifically, it provides a fixed handset for two-way voice communication with portable firefighter telephones during an emergency response.

First, the 4-FT installs in an EST4 annunciator from the 4-4ANN through the 4-24ANN. In addition, the module takes two annunciator spaces. As a result, layout planning needs to account for the loss of one CDM position next to it.

Furthermore, the 4-FT requires the 4-ANNAUDTEL audio/telephone interface card installed on the 4-ANNCPU. Therefore, the 4-ANNAUDTEL must be ordered with the annunciator when a 4-FT is part of the layout.

What This Module Is Not

The 4-FT is the master (fixed) handset that lives in the annunciator. Also, this is not a standalone fire-alarm appliance — it requires the 4-ANNCPU and 4-ANNAUDTEL within an EST4 annunciator to function.
