The Edwards SIGA-PD is an intelligent photoelectric smoke detector. It belongs to the EST Signature Series addressable line. The detector pairs an optical chamber with on-board microprocessor logic.
First, the optical sensor scatters infrared light off airborne smoke particles. Then, the microprocessor digitizes the signal and applies filters. Finally, it compares the reading to historical data before raising an alarm. As a result, transient signals get rejected and nuisance alarms stay rare.

Compatibility
The SIGA-PD works only with the Edwards Signature Loop Controller. As a result, it supports EST3, iO64, iO500, and QuickStart SLC panels. Verify the host panel’s loop type before ordering.
