The Edwards SIGA-SDPCB is a replacement PCB and Signature sensor kit for SIGA-SD duct smoke detectors. First, it restores the intelligent addressable electronics inside an existing SIGA-SD SuperDuct housing. As a result, you can revive a duct detector without replacing the whole assembly.
The board reuses your installed housing, sampling tubes, and conduit. Therefore, technicians swap the PCB in minutes instead of rebuilding the unit. In addition, this lowers labor and system downtime.
Edwards SIGA-SDPCB Detection and Function
The PCB uses photoelectric sensing tuned for duct airflow. Specifically, it responds to smoke particles entering the HVAC air stream. As a result, it supports safe shutdown of air-handling units to limit smoke spread.
It also communicates on the Edwards Signature addressable loop. Therefore, each duct detector reports individually to the panel.
Compatible Panels
The SIGA-SDPCB works with Edwards Signature Series control panels. For example, it supports the EST3, EST3X, iO64, and iO500. In addition, it meets UL 268 and NFPA 72 requirements for duct smoke detection.
