The Edwards G1F-HD-E is a Genesis G1 Series temporal-pattern horn in a white housing with FIRE marking. First, it provides audible fire alarm notification without a strobe. As a result, it suits installations where the strobe coverage is handled by other appliances on the same circuit.
This horn belongs to the same compact Genesis G1 family as the G1-HDVM horn/strobe combo. In addition, it shares the same wiring, mounting, and synchronization behavior. Therefore, mixing horns and horn-strobes on the same NAC is straightforward.
Edwards G1F-HD-E sound output
The horn produces a Temporal Code 3 (T3) pattern by default. Furthermore, a circuit-board jumper switches the unit to steady tone for use with coded NAC circuits. Also, a separate jumper selects between high dB and low dB output. The low setting reduces output by about 5 dB compared to high.

Agency listings and pattern
UL 464 (audible signal appliance), ULC S525, CSFM, CE, FCC, MEA (FM pending in original datasheet). The temporal audible pattern is the standard T3 cycle: 0.5 s ON, 0.5 s OFF, 0.5 s ON, 0.5 s OFF, 0.5 s ON, 1.5 s OFF, then repeat.
Synchronization
For synchronized temporal output across a circuit, pair this horn with the G1M or G1M-RM Genesis Signal Master. As a result, all horns and strobes on the circuit pulse in unison within 10 ms over a two-hour period. Also compatible are the SIGA-CC1S and SIGA-MCC1S Signature sync modules.
Variant naming
The “G1F-HD-E” suffix decodes as: G1 Genesis family, F = FIRE marking, HD = Horn-only with selectable Hi/Low dB, E = English language. For the no-marking equivalent, see G1-HD. For the red FIRE-marked version, see G1RF-HD.
