The Eaton ELMTSW is a Wheelock Eluxa multitone LED horn-strobe. It is a wall-mount appliance with a white housing, FIRE lettering, and 24 VDC operation. The “MT” prefix denotes multitone; the “S” denotes strobe.
First, the appliance produces a field-selectable tone from eight alerting sounds. Then, the LED strobe flashes once per second at a 20 ms pulse duration. As a result, one SKU covers multiple notification scenarios — fire, mass-notification alert, and general signaling — without re-ordering parts.
Eaton ELMTSW Tone and Volume Options
The eight selectable tones are Horn, Bell, March Time Horn, Code-3 Tone, Code-3 Horn, Slow Whoop, Siren, and Hi/Lo Tone. In addition, the installer chooses between Standard dBA and High dBA volume settings. Furthermore, an adjustable volume and tone control allows fine-tuning during commissioning.

Strobe Candela

Mounting and Listings
The ELMTSW ships with a hinged mounting plate. Specifically, mounting options include ELSBB wall backboxes, single-gang backboxes, or 4-inch square with an adapter kit. In addition, the appliance is listed under UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 464, CAN/ULC-S525, CAN/ULC-S526, CSFM, RoHS, and FCC Part 15.
Wall dimensions: 4.79 in H x 2.76 in W x 1.18 in D. Also, the UV-stabilized engineered-plastic housing exceeds UL 94V-0 flammability rating.
Ordering Notes
The ELMTS multitone strobe is wall-mount only — no ceiling variant exists in this product family. Also, the matching multitone horn (no strobe) is the ELMTW. Furthermore, the red wall counterpart of this SKU is the ELMTSR.
