The Eaton ELSTW is a Wheelock Eluxa LED-platform standalone strobe appliance. Specifically, it is a wall-mount, white-housing strobe with FIRE lettering and 24 VDC operation. Notably, this SKU is strobe only — no horn, no speaker.
Notably, the ELSTW replaces legacy LSTW3 parts in the Wheelock lineup. As a result, retrofit and replacement projects on older RSS or LSTR installs can use the ELSTW in place of those discontinued SKUs.
First, the strobe uses a patented LED optical design rather than legacy xenon. Then, the flash duration is 20 ms at 1 flash per second over the regulated voltage range. Therefore, the ELSTW meets the 2016 NFPA 72 requirement to share a field of view with legacy xenon strobes.
Eaton ELSTW Candela Settings
The strobe intensity is field selectable across six wall-model settings: 15, 30, 75, 110, 135, 185 cd. In addition, the patented LED design delivers the industry’s lowest current draw across the full candela range. As a result, more appliances fit on each NAC and fewer power supplies are required.

Electrical and Synchronization
The ELSTW operates from 16 to 33 VDC or VFWR. Also, the strobe synchronizes via Wheelock DSM Sync Modules, PS Power Supplies, or SAFEPATH products using Wheelock’s patented sync protocol. Furthermore, the unit reverts to a non-synced 1 flash per second rate if the sync signal is lost.
Mounting and Listings
The ELSTW ships with a hinged mounting plate. Specifically, mounting options include single-gang, double-gang, 4" square, 4" octagon, and 3-1/2" octagon boxes. In addition, listings cover UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 464, CAN/ULC-S525, CAN/ULC-S526, CSFM, RoHS, and FCC Part 15.
Wall dimensions: 4.79" H x 2.76" W x 1.18" D. Operating range: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C), 93% humidity max. Material: UV-stabilized engineered plastic, exceeds UL 94V-0 flammability rating.
Compatibility
The Eluxa strobe line is UL/ULC-listed compatible with FACPs validated for Wheelock RSS, Exceder LED3, and Cooper Notification CH/E/EH/ET/ST/HS/MT/S8/SA/STH/Z series strobes. Also, the ELSTW is approved for mixed installation with legacy Wheelock RSS xenon strobes in the same field of view.
