The Edwards F-10ELEC is the factory replacement main circuit board for FireShield Plus and Kidde FX 10-zone conventional fire alarm control panels. First, it restores full system functionality in compatible enclosures. As a result, a failed or damaged board can be swapped without replacing the entire panel and re-running wire.
Edwards F-10ELEC application
Use the F-10ELEC when an in-service FSP1004 or FX-10 series panel has a failed main board. Then, the new board lands in the existing red or grey enclosure and connects to the existing IDC, NAC, and battery wiring. As a result, replacement time is short relative to a full panel swap. Furthermore, the existing detectors, pull stations, and notification appliances remain in service.
Compatible control panels
The F-10ELEC is the verified replacement board for these conventional 10-zone enclosures: Edwards EST FireShield Plus FSP1004G, FSP1004GD, FSP1004R, FSP1004RD; and Kidde FX series FX-10R and FX-10RD. As a result, the “D” suffix variants (with built-in DACT/communicator) are also covered when the F-DACT module is reinstalled.

Important install note
This is a service-replacement board. Therefore, only a licensed and certified fire alarm contractor should perform the swap. In addition, the building’s monitoring service must be notified and put on test during the work to prevent false dispatch. Also, after replacement the panel requires a full functional test of every initiating device and notification circuit per NFPA 72.
