The Fireray 1010-000 is the Long Range Prism Kit. Specifically, it extends the operating range of Fireray reflective beam smoke detectors. As a result, you can cover longer distances with the same detector head.
In addition, the kit ships with three additional reflectors. Therefore, it adds reflective surface area beyond what a single reflector provides.
How the Long Range Prism Kit Works
Reflective beam detectors send an infrared beam to a target. Then, the beam returns to the head along the same path. However, longer-distance installations require more reflective surface area to maintain a reliable signal.
Specifically, the 1010-000 arranges four reflectors in a 200 mm x 200 mm square pattern. As a result, the increased reflective area lets the head operate at longer ranges.
Detection Range With the 1010-000 Installed
- Fireray One: extends range to 50-120 m (164-394 ft)
- Fireray 5000: extends range to 50-100 m (164-328 ft)
